About Ecosyl Products

ECOSYL Products Limited has its headquarters at Stokesley, a picturesque market town on the northern edge of the North Yorkshire moors. The Headquarters includes Customer support, laboratory and manufacturing facilities.

Company History

Ecosyl Headquarters

ECOSYL Products Limited was originally part of Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI). Based in the Agricultural Division, the business rapidly developed novel agricultural biotechnology. In 1993, ICI split into Zeneca Limited with the rump of the heavy chemicals business staying in a revamped ICI. The Agricultural Inoculants division continued its development under the wing of Zeneca. As time progressed and Zeneca became a pharmaceutical company it was clear that Agricultural Inoculants did not fit. Dr Andy Beardsmore and Dr Terry Owen acquired the business in a management buyout in July 1996.
