ECOBALE combines the proven benefits of Lactobacillus plantarum strain MTD⁄1 (Ecosyl) for improved fermentation and animal performance with the special attributes of Serratia rubidaea and Bacillus subtilis for reduction of aerobic spoilage.

ECOBALE contains a mixture of bacteria to help the fermentation and reduce the potential for aerobic instability. Lactobacillus plantarum MTD⁄1 aids the fermentation - for more information see our Research Section - and Serratia rubidaea and Bacillus subtilis help reduce the risk of moulding. This product has been very successful in the treatment of high DM baled silage (haylage) for horses.

Standard bales - dilute one bottle in 50 litres and apply at 3 litres per tonne.

Mini haylage bales (25-50kg) - dilute one bottle in 100 litres and apply at 6 litres per tonne.
